(NEWSnet) – This time around on Jill of All Trades, Jill Washburn shows us a super simple and tasty dessert.

It's called a Dump Cake because all of the ingredients are combined or "dumped" in the same pan that it is baked in. No mixing bowl required!

First, take a 13x9 glass pan and coat the inside with a cooking spray, so your cake doesn't stick to the pan. Next, choose your favorite cake mix and put it in the pan. (Jill chose lemon.) Next, in a 2-cup measuring cup, add ½ cup of sour cream. Then add ¾ to 1 cup of 7-up or Sprite, and then fill up to the 2-cup line with water.

Stir the ingredients together until they are combined well. Then add 1 1/2 to 2 cups of blueberries (Jill used fresh) and gently fold them in. Gently spread the batter evenly around the pan.

Now you're ready for the oven. Pop it in at 350 degrees for about 25-30 minutes. Jill ended up leaving hers in the oven for about another 10 minutes to make sure that the top was golden. The cake top should spring back when lightly touched.

This cake is best served warm, but it's also good at room temperature, or even chilled, too.  Jill serves it with a topping of whipped cream.

This is a great summertime dessert, but really, it's good any time of year.

Jill says you can get creative and make it with different combinations of cake mix and fruit (or other add-ins).

Enjoy!!
