An Indiana man is in jail in southern California for allegedly killing his roommate at sober living facility in Irvine.

Police say the homicide happened around 6AM Monday morning at a 6-person sober living home on Tyler Place near Boulder Creek way.

The unidentified 18-year-old victim was found seriously injured with blunt force trauma.

He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The suspect, Baxton Tysean Hill reportedly fled the scene but was arrested by California Highway Patrol just before 9 in the morning in apple valley.

No motive has been released.
