The Oceana County Sheriff's Office tell us on Monday a teen was injured in a crash.

A little before 10PM deputies were sent out to an accident at the intersection of West Tyler Road and 72nd Ave in Hart Township.

Emergency crews found a sixteen-year-old Hart resident unresponsive from the crash.

Deputies say the sixteen-year-old was driving a moped north on 72nd Avenue and crashed with another vehicle traveling east bound.

The moped driver was taken to Trinity Health –Lakeshore Campus and then flown to DeVos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids.

Deputies tell us alcohol isn't believed to be a factor in this crash.

And it's not believed the moped driver was wearing a helmet at the time of crash.

The sixteen-year-old driver of the moped is currently in critical condition at DeVos.
