Iguana Hitches a Ride to Ford Plant from Mexico

Detroit Zoo
One reptilian friend went a little bit too far from his destination!
This spiny-tailed iguana, native to the Sonoran Desert in Mexico, was accidentally sent to a Ford Motor Company Plant but thankfully, the iguana has a new home.
The Detroit Zoo posted this photo on their Facebook Monday showing the new addition to their Holden Reptile Conservation Center and apparently this isn't the first time this has happened!!
According to a CBS News Detroit article in August of 2010 a rare iguana was caught running across a loading dock at a Ford Plant in Sterling Heights, the iguana had hitched a ride in some auto parts shipped from Mexico.
That iguana also made a home at the Detroit Zoo.
