In high school sports, the final four is here for boys varsity basketball.

A couple of Northern Michigan teams are playing in the Breslin Center, with hopes of completing the mission of bringing the state championship to the north.  The Mount Pleasant Sacred Heart boys are having one of the best seasons in program history.  The Irish, who have a record of 25-2, are taking on Allen Park Inter-City in the Division 4 state semifinals.  The Irish ousted Glen Lake to reach this point, they also surpassed their mark last year, when they were eliminated in the quarterfinals.  A couple of their players, played on the last Sacred Heart team that made it to the semis in 2021.  Head coach Justin Sherlock and the boys say, after the defeat of the Lakers, they are oozing with confidence to pull off the win.
