A man who was arrested in November for arson is now facing more charges.

We told you about Joseph Carl Halder's arrest back in November by the Chippewa County Sheriff’s Office for the November 11 Arson of a structure in downtown Paradise.

Halder was new to the area and had joined the fire department earlier that summer.

At the time, Halder was also a person of interest in two other suspicious structure fires within Whitefish Twp.

Deputies tell us further investigation resulted in the prosecutor's office authorizing two additional Felony Arson charges.

On Thursday, Halder was arrested and arraigned on two counts of Arson.

The court gave Halder an additional $150,000 bond on top of his current $200,000 bond for the original charge.

The first charge stems from a structure fire in Paradise on October 5.

The second charge stems from a structure fire that happened on M-123 south of Paradise on November 5.
