Two Arrested for Delivery of Cocaine in Trident
Chippewa County Sheriff's Office announced that in Trident two people have been arrested in connection with delivery of cocaine.
They said that detectives were investigating a female who was supplying big amounts of cocaine to several people in the Chippewa County area.
And that they set up a purchase of over 50 grams of coke from the suspect, meeting up at Sault Ste Marie.
On December 17th detectives say they made the purchase.
Not long after a traffic stop was made and a search warrant conducted on the vehicle. Additional evidence was found.
Sheriff said that during the traffic stop 27-year-old from Saginaw, Linda Baker brought her 18-month-old with her and was there during the drug transaction.
A male suspect also was in the car and present during the transaction, 41-year-old Gene Guadalupe from Saginaw.
Both the male and female suspects were arrested.
Baker on four charges:
- Delivery of cocaine over 50 grams
- Conspiracy to deliver Cocaine over 50 grams
- Child Endangerment
- Destruction of evidence
Canales on 2 charges:
- Delivery of Cocaine over 50 grams
- Conspiracy to deliver Cocaine over 50 grams
Both were taken to the CHippewa Co Correctional Facility and arraigned.
