LONG BEACH, CA (NEWSnet) - Homicide detectives have arrested two suspects for the October murder of Fabian Lemus.

On Oct. 16 at 11:25 a.m., officers responded to the 5100 block of Pacific
Avenue regarding a report of a shooting.

When officers arrived, they found a crime scene and evidence of a shooting.

While on scene, officers were advised of a man with a life-threatening gunshot wound who was dropped off in the emergency room.

He later succumbed to his injuries.

Police initially stated a man fled the area on foot after the shooting.

Police searched the area and conducted safety checks, however, were unable to locate the
suspect.

On Nov. 16, detectives arrested 20 year old Muhammad Abdur-Rahman Nelson for one count of murder, one count of attempted murder and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Bail is set at $2,000,000.

29 year old Quatrelle Jaquin Carroll was booked for one count of murder and one count of attempted murder. Bail is set at $2,000,000.

While the investigation remains ongoing, at this time, Homicide detectives believe the motive is gang related.
