White House 2023 Collector Ornament Honors Gerald Ford

(NEWSnet) – The 2023 White House Christmas Ornament has been introduced, with a classic Christmas wreath design amid details that celebrate the late Gerald Ford.
The White House Historical Association has hosted the ornament series since 1981. Past designs include a gingerbread-style rendition of the executive mansion, toy trains, Victorian imagery and bald eagles.
The front of this year’s brass piece has red ribbons amid the greenery, gold stars and gingerbread people inspired by decorations seen during the Ford presidency. The back of the ornament includes symbols of Ford’s life and legacy including a football for his years playing at University of Michigan and “Troop 15” for his achievements as an Eagle Scout in Boy Scouts of America.
Ford was president from August 1974 to January 1977; and died in December 2006.
The ornament cost is $24.95. This year’s piece and older pieces in the series can be purchased at the White House Historical Association website.
