Cadillac High Football Names New Head Coach
In local sports, a Wexford County high school has secured a man, who is looking to right the Vikings football ship.
Cadillac High is naming Nick Winkler as the new head coach. He takes over for Shawn Jackson, who left Cadillac for the same position in his hometown in Missouri. Winkler is originally from the Upper Peninsula. He has had a unique road in coaching, coming back to the Mitten. The former Saginaw Valley State University Offensive Lineman coached high school football in Alaska, then New Mexico, followed by Wisconsin. He's coming to Northern Michigan. The New Vikes head coach says he accepted the job, due to the good football history of the program, and it brings him closer to his family. Winkler says he's excited to lead the young football players, next month.
