Man, Woman Arrested for Murder of Eric Brown III
Los Angeles Homicide detectives have arrested two suspects in connection to the murder of 12-year-old Eric Brown III.
On the evening of May 9, officers were dispatched to the 2200 block of Lewis Avenue regarding a hit shooting, which resulted in the death of Eric Brown III and injuries to a 14-year-old girl.
A 13-year-old girl was uninjured.
Detectives say an investigation revealed that the victims were walking on the sidewalk when they were approached by the suspect vehicle, containing at least two male suspects. An unknown number of suspects shot at the victims.
On Friday, 20-year-old Reshawn Strother and 21-year-old Destenee Scipio were arrested for the murder of Eric Brown III.
Strother was already in police custody related to an investigation out of the Los Angeles Police Department’s jurisdiction.
He will be charged with murder, attempted murder, and conspiracy to commit a crime.
His bail was set at $5,000,000.
Destenee Scipio was arrested on July 5 in Cypress. She will be charged with murder, attempted murder, and conspiracy to commit a crime.
Her bail was set at $4,000,000.
